Our Chair of Trustees, Nick Robinson, awarded OBE in King’s Birthday Honours

We are incredibly proud to share the news that our Chair of Trustees, Nicholas Robinson, has been awarded an OBE in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List 2025.

This national recognition celebrates Nick’s outstanding services to disadvantaged young people and charitable causes- and all of us at Sibling Support are absolutely thrilled to see his contribution honoured in this way.

As well as being our fantastic Chair, Nick co-founded the national charity Future Talent in 2004 with Katharine, Duchess of Kent. The charity supports gifted young musicians from low-income backgrounds, helping them access the resources and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.

While his work in music and education is remarkable, it’s Nick’s unwavering commitment to bereaved children and young people that we feel so deeply at Sibling Support

As our Chair of Trustees, Nick brings extraordinary empathy and clarity to our work. His steadfast belief in the potential of children and young people- especially those facing profound challenges- continues to shape our mission, our values, and our everyday approach.

We are incredibly grateful for his guidance, and for the depth of care he brings to everything we do.

Speaking about the honour, Nick said:

“This award is not mine alone. I share it with Katharine, Duchess of Kent, without whose vision and passion Future Talent simply wouldn’t exist. It has been my privilege to work tirelessly over the last 20 years to nurture musical talent, and I’m deeply honoured and grateful to accept this OBE on behalf of everyone who’s been part of the journey so far- especially the remarkable young people at the heart of it.”

All of us at Sibling Support are delighted to congratulate Nick on this well-deserved honour. We're incredibly grateful for his steady guidance, and proud to have his empathy, wisdom and compassion at the heart of all we do.
