Sibling Supports’ 5th birthday!

Last week, Sibling Support turned 5!

To mark the milestone, we shared a post each day across our social media platforms- celebrating five years of standing beside grieving siblings and looking ahead to what’s next.

Take a look at the posts we shared, and join us in celebrating how far we’ve come- and where we’re heading next.

Five years, five achievements we’re proud of.

From reaching thousands with our sibling resource packs to launching a national helpline and hosting in-person events for grieving children, we’ve made real progress in changing the way bereaved siblings are supported. This post highlighted just a few of the moments that have shaped our journey so far.

Five voices, five reasons we keep going.

In the past five years, we've heard from hundreds of families, professionals, and young people about the difference Sibling Support has made. This post shared just a handful of the kind, powerful words we’ve received- reminding us why this work matters every single day.

Five emotions, five ways we help.

Grieving siblings often face a mix of overwhelming emotions- from anger and guilt to confusion, loneliness and deep sadness. In this post, we explored each of these emotions and shared the tools, events and resources we’ve developed to help children feel seen, supported and less alone in their grief.

Looking ahead: 5 goals for the next 5 years.

As we celebrate everything we've achieved, we're also focusing on what comes next. In this post, we shared five big goals we’re working towards- from getting our resources into every school and GP surgery, to growing our professionals network, creating sibling memorials, and building support pathways through hospitals.

Will you be one of our 50 regular givers?

As we celebrate 5 years of supporting grieving siblings, we’re inviting 50 people to join us as regular givers. Your monthly donation, no matter how small, makes a world of difference. Just £5 a month can help us provide essential resources- from memory hearts and wellbeing walks to sibling meet-ups and professional support. By becoming a regular giver, you’re not just donating, you’re helping us plan for the future and ensuring that no sibling has to grieve alone.

Thank you for being part of our journey.

As we reflect on five incredible years of supporting grieving siblings, we want to thank everyone who has been part of our story- from donors and volunteers to the families we’ve had the privilege to help. Your support, whether big or small, has made an immeasurable impact.

We look forward to the next five years and beyond, working together to ensure every bereaved sibling feels seen, heard and supported.

Thank you for standing with us. 💙

Thank you to Rydale and Alton Towers for all of their support during our campaign.
