Sibling Support’s 5th Anniversary Event
At the end of April, we were honoured to host our 5th Anniversary Event at Speaker’s House in the House of Commons, bringing together bereaved siblings, like-minded organisations, and valued supporters.
The event featured a range of speakers, including several bereaved siblings who generously shared their personal experiences of sibling grief. We were also delighted to welcome Spencer Matthews, who hosted the speeches while speaking openly about his own experience of sibling bereavement, and Ben West, whose mental health campaigning plays a vital role in supporting those affected by the death of a sibling by suicide.
The evening gave us an opportunity to acknowledge the impact we've made over the past 5 years, whilst looking forwards together at the support we're developing to ensure that every Bereaved Sibling really is seen, heard and supported.
We're incredibly grateful to everybody who was able to share the evening with us, Mr Speaker, The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, for allowing us to host the event at Speakers House, and to KT Bruce for photographing the event.
